What’s Inside?
I talk about how I managed to find something to smile about, a few days after being told I had cancer at 17. I just couldn’t be positive. I didn’t feel like I could be strong – things people were telling me I needed to do when I got told the bad news. Instead, I did a little experiment… I took a step back, and looked at how I was dealing with things, and I Questioned my doubts and fears, until I could see a second, BETTER, way of looking at things.
I talk about how I use that thought process to overcome life’s challenges – without bravery, courage, or willpower, which I just haven’t many times in my life (from getting the news I had cancer, to my struggles with chronic illness today).
I show you the SCIENCE behind how self distancing, breaking down your challenges, and then letting yourself be HUMAN, and repeating this over TIME, allows you to become the happiest, most healthy, most successful version of yourself.
And I have chapters on how I used this same process to overcome challenges in life. From how I made myself hyper-resilient to deal with health challenges, to how I lost 43kg (over 100lb), without ANY willpower, while eating WHATEVER I wanted, to how I deal with depression, how I ignore chronic pain, and how I’ve created multiple successful social enterprises which help people.
